Our movie star grin is broken,

And it’s going to take more than plastic surgery to fix this.

There is no cosmetic sheen to be applied.

No made-for-TV war will make this go away.

No, we’ve been hit, and it’s time to wake up from the American dream.

A dream of complacency.

A dream of invulnerability.

A dream of no responsibility.

A dream of might is right.

A dream that we know the one right way to live.

A dream that we represent freedom to everyone.

We are so arrogant to say, "How dare they."

We are so arrogant when we don’t comprehend.

When will we wake up?

Our front teeth are gone.

It just incites us to anger.

This isn’t a brutal attack,

It’s a love tap sent by Consciousness.

We don’t need revenge,

We need to wake up.
